EVERY HEART NEEDS A HOME

The Inland Road is an emotionally resonant drama about grief, healing, and the unexpected connections that emerge after tragedy. Teenage runaway Tia is hitchhiking along a remote country road when the vehicle she is traveling in crashes, leaving devastating consequences in its wake. With nowhere else to turn, she seeks refuge with the family of the deceased driver, moving onto the rural farm of fellow survivor Will and his pregnant wife Donna. As Will's grieving young niece Lily joins the household, Tia gradually finds purpose in helping the child navigate the pain of losing her father, even as her growing presence begins to unsettle the fragile balance holding the family together.

Exploring themes of forgiveness, belonging, emotional recovery, and found family, the film presents a moving portrait of people brought together by loss and united through compassion. As relationships deepen and hidden emotions surface, each member of the household must confront their own grief while discovering that healing often comes from the most unexpected places.
